The list is intended to lift up those who are great contributors, leaders and influencers in our industry. Meet the List
Creator
Ken Ashley, CCIM, MCR, SIOR
Executive Director, Cushman & Wakefield
The List
Ken is a passionate connector of people and causes. He also loves recognizing those doing good in our world. When the pandemic hit, Ken had the idea of creating lists of the best of the best in commercial real estate brokerage. The list would include industry competitors – the competitive issue is not ideas but execution of those ideas, he believes. Also, the list rankings would be largely based on data first.
The first year, he published lists for Twitter and LinkedIn and then followed up by adding Instagram and TikTok to the mix. The first list made its debut and was well regarded in the commercial real estate industry. A number of list makers reached out to say they earned better splits, more business or had other career successes, which was wonderful and welcomed news.
After a number of conversations, list makers asked to gather together to share best practices – iron does sharpen iron! Out of those discussions, the CREi Summit was born. The CREi Summit is an annual confab of those who are on the lists, those who would like to be, and those who are curious about how to better build their respective communities.
Speaking of communities, the CREi Summit has become a community unlike any other. If someone in the community has a professional question, they can get quick answers. If they have a larger project, they can source experts to help through this great network. Perhaps most importantly, in the community one can develop deep friendships with people who are full of great ideas! After all, they are influencers and leaders for a reason. Ken is proud of the community and is looking forward to its further growth and development.
